Roxy's Story...
Roxy was previously owned but her puppy ways were too much for the owner. She is only four or five months old and needs guidance and training to become the wonderful adult dog she can be. So if you have time to help this pup become a well mannered adult then she is the dog for you. She is already housetrained but may need a refresher when she comes to your house. Please have plenty of chew toys; she is at the age she is losing her baby teeth and chews quite a bit. Roxy is wonderful with children and other dogs. She has never lived with cats. She knows how to sit, down and leave it but needs to practice these commands. She may be best suited for a stay at home person as she does not want to be put in a crate and becomes stressed when she is crated. She is a beautiful husky mix.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roxy, a Somerset Husky puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky for sale in Somerset, or seeking a Husky puppy from a breeder in Somerset.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Somerset already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Somerset breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky breeders who help with Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Somerset paves the way for another one to be saved.
