Kirby's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Kirby's Story...
Kirby is about 10 months old. He and his brother had been dumped on the side of the road on a very busy stretch of highway. Luckily, a nice couple picked them up and brought them to us. Kirby is crate trained and house broken. He is heartworm negative, neutered and microchipped. He is current on all vaccinations, Interceptor and Frontline. He is starting to learn his manners, but would benefit from a obedience class. He gets along well with the other dogs in the house. His adoption fee is $200 to help recover vetting costs. Email saveourshelterdogsrescue@yahoo.com for an application and to schedule a time to meet Kirby!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kirby, a Covington Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in Covington, or seeking a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Covington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Covington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Covington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Covington paves the way for another one to be saved.
