Cosmo and Kismet!'s Story...
Two fabulous boys! Cosmo is very outgoing and social. He is not afraid of new places or people! He loves to chase strings, balls, and toy mice and to hop into cardboard boxes. Cosmo likes to jump up right next to the sink and watch while dishes are being washed. He has an abundance of energy and is always willing to play. He loves to give and receive attention, and isn't shy about enjoying it. He'll purr, flop around on his back and stretch out his paws inviting you to pet him. Here's a video of him at play: https://http://youtu.be/cFpXpcEv3D0

Kismet, the fellow with the black patch over his eye, is listed separately and is the more mellow dude. Some of his favorite hobbies include plopping right down in your lap and snuggling close, grooming his brother (and his people!), following his brother Cosmo around and keeping everyone company while they watch TV. When being pet he softly murmurs his contentment. Initially, he can be very shy but he warms up quickly  - when he feels secure in his surroundings he shows his inquisitive, affectionate and playful side. Here's a video of him having fun: http://youtu.be/PKOcOXPRxE4

They are a wonderful pair of cats who love each other immensely. A bonded pair,  they should be adopted together. Their personalities complement each other and they are so much fun to be around! They love to sit in the sun and groom each other and they also love to chase toys around and play wrestle. Good boys, they do not scratch furniture as long as you provide them with a scratching post, like most good kitties! They would adapt nicely to a home with children and possibly other pets.
Once street kitties – they were found in a terrible  hoarding situation, now they are contented housekitties! These guys are 18 mos old, neutered, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, and are up-to-date on their shots. They’re all ready to go home with you!

Thanks so much for thinking of a rescued angel! Every dime goes to saving the next angels on the street.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cosmo and Kismet!, a Brooklyn Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
