Thor's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, and not good with dogs.

Thor's Story...

Thor and his brother Loki came into rescue following their owner's call to say she had just learned that she couldn't take the dogs to the home she was in the process of moving to... long story short, we have found lots of holes in her story - but there is no doubt that the dogs are in need of new homes and lots of TLC.

Thor is a large dog with big jowls. He is the calmer of the pair and suffers from a few allergies limiting him from a few treats. Thor loves to be snuggled though he isn’t as rambunctious about it as his brother. He’s very gentle and caring.

Thor is food aggressive and doesn't do well with other dogs, so we expect to adopt them as a bonded pair to a home with no other dogs. Thor will definitely need some training. Hopefully the dogs will go to someone familiar with the Pyrenees breed who can get them on track, as they are very people friendly boys.  Thor does walk on a leash.

Please consider Thor when you look for your new canine companion.

About Great Pyrenees Rescue of Montana

About Our Rescue Group...

Please note: We are not a shelter. We are a group of volunteers. All of our dogs are fostered at someone's home. They are loved by their foster parents, some of them are socialized and their personalities and traits are well known by the foster family.

Our Adoption Process...

Great Pyrenees Rescue of Montana's mission is to help rehabilitate abused and displaced Great Pyrenees dogs, and find them the best forever home.

Adopting a friend
We work hard to find the best home for our dogs. We want this home to be their forever home. An adoption application is required with a vet reference. A home visit is also done. PERMANENT, SECURE FENCING IS REQUIRED Our adoption donation for most dogs is $275.00 for our dogs and this money is used to cover vet expense, spay/neuter charges, transport expense and caring for our dogs until they are adopted. A senior dog age 8 or older and our special needs dogs, we ask for $175.00 donation. This adoption donation is lower because you may need more health care for the seniors or special needs. We want them all to find a happy home and to be loved forever. FENCING FOR THIS BREED NEEDS TO BE AT LEAST 5 FOOT HIGH.
NOTE: The electric underground fencing is unacceptable for this breed.
