Dempsey (SPONSORED)'s Story...
Dempsey is a gorgeous, 1-2 year old male Pit Bull mix. He is a very handsome and flashy dog and is a beautiful blue fawn and white. Dempsey was rescued from Gary Animal Control just hours before they were going to euthanize him. Dempsey is a shy guy and has not had much exposure to the outside world. He was found as a stray, so we do not know too much of his past history, but it seems as if he may have spent much of his life on a chain in a backyard. Dempsey has been in foster care for several months now though and has really blossomed. He is getting more and more brave every day and is no longer afraid of plastic bags or leaves blowing by him on his walks! He adores his foster family and is an absolute love with them, but is still a little timid meeting new people. He does warm up quickly though and is easily bribed with food! He is very loving and affectionate with everyone he knows, but the quick movements of young children still frighten him, so he'd do best in a home with older children or no children. He is currently sharing his foster home with several other dogs including another male Pit Bull, a male German Shepherd and a male Jack Russell. Thanks to a very generous donor, Dempsey's adoption donation has been reduced to $150, $75 of which will be refunded when he attends a basic obedience class with his new owner!!!Dempsey will be a great dog with just a little bit of TLC! If interested in meeting him, please email palsplace1@hotmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dempsey (SPONSORED), a Chicago American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Chicago, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier rescue.
