Noah's Story...
Do you have a bean bag chair? Plenty of dog toys? Oh, and if you can do yoga with him, that would be a plus. Noah doesn't have many requirements but he has a list of "favorite things" that is longer than Oprah's! We've puzzled over his breed since the day he was rescued from a local shelter. He acts like a lab, has the chest of a beagle, and we see a little Australian Shepherd in there too. We welcome your suggestions -- give us your best guess :). He's a sturdy dog, mature and extremely easy to live with. He's 100% house trained and will stand at the door when he needs to go out. He enjoys children and is being fostered in an active, young household with two small children, a similar size companion dog, a big kitten and a TINY kitten (check out the video). We feel he would be equally happy with a mature family who can walk him regularly. Although he acts like a pup, he enjoys his afternoon naps as much as anyone! He adores his caretakers and meets everybody with a smile. We'd like to tell you more about his story -- Noah is what rescue is all about for the Friends of Retrievers volunteers. He has touched our heart from the minute we saw him in the shelter. He was a "Shelter Director's Favorite" and we were asked SPECIFICALLY to place him in foster care. He's that special. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Noah, a Hagerstown Australian Shepherd/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Beagle for sale in Hagerstown, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Beagle dog from a breeder in Hagerstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hagerstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hagerstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Beagle breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hagerstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
