My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ben is a 3 yo blue merle male, neutered, fully vetted and being maintained on heartworm prevention. He came to ARPH after being picked up by animal control in Georgia.

It is unbelievable to his foster home that someone could have thrown this wonderful boy away as Ben is a gentle, shy boy who loves his people and craves hugs and attention. He wants to be someones best buddy and is learning that we are not going to hurt him. He is a very happy boy. The slightest attention gets his wiggle butt constantly going. He is not a high energy Aussie but loves his walks. He has one brown eye and one brown/blue eye. He likes to be brushed and particularly loves his back end scratched and just wiggles with joy when you scratch him. He is a big goofy guy. He is learning commands and knows sit, down and stay so far. He was not house trained when he arrived in foster care but his foster home is working with him on that. He rides well in a car just sitting and watching the world go by. He gets along very well with all the other dogs in his foster home. He will sleep in a crate but prefers his big comfy bed in the doggie room.

Ben will be a great dog for someone who just wants a friend and companion to go on daily walks with. He fostered in Havana (Above Tallahassee near the GA border).
