Meet Banjo! After a tough life on the streets and many months at the shelter he was rescued and put into foster. His foster dad says he’s such a good, happy boy. Now it’s time for Banjo to find His Forever home. He’s 5 yrs. old, neutered, up–to-date on shots and Healthy. Banjo loves people and is dog friendly. He enjoys long walks and trips to the park, but his favorite past time is never-ending belly rubs.
This beautiful Boy is currently fostering with many other 'bully" breeds in our program. His current foster caregiver understands and is experienced with the ability and nature of the breed. We still require an owner that has prior experience with large and or "bully" breeds. He is amazing around people but, proper introductions to new dogs is a must. Banjo's previous owner didn't treat him with the love and attention he needs so he is now getting it with hisfoster home. He loves to sit on your lap as if he is a lap dog. However, like most bully breeds, Banjo needs structure and boundaries. He needs a confident, firm pack leader to help him maintain his place in the pack. When we say this, we do not mean that someone needs to be rough with him or use excessive negative training methods. Rather, Banjo simply needs an owner who will continue to use his training commands, exercise him regularly, and have him follow house rules.

PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST HAVE PRIOR PIT BULL, MASTIFF, AMERICAN BULLDOG, OR OTHER BULLY BREED EXPERIENCE TO ADOPT THIS TYPE OF BREED FROM US. YOU ALSO MUST TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOUR LIVING SITUATION, IE: KIDS, OTHER ANIMALS, ACTIVITY LEVEL, ETC

All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, dewormed, licensed, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Also included is a free health check by our licensed veterinarian. The dogs that come out of our program are very well socialized when they leave, both with people, and other dogs. It is up to the new owners to maintain this. All of our dogs, young and old are crate trained. This gives the new owner a head start for house breaking, and to curb any separation anxiety and or destructive behavior. Most of our dogs are in foster homes and we are able to tell you lots about each of their personalities. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. An adoption fee, application, and contract are required. "The Bully Connection" is celebrating it's 20th year as of 2011 since being founded. Originally a rescue/rehab center for Pit Bulls and Mastiffs, the facility also temperament tests all bully breeds, boards bullies for those individuals who have a hard time finding overnight care for their bullies and Mastiffs. The Facility is 100% BARK FREE, cage and kennel free (except for feeding and sleeping). We specialize in anger management for dogs, dog to dog aggression, dog to human aggression, dog to dog introductions, boundaries, and overall socialization for your bully.Founded by a 20 year specialist and expert in dog aggression, Pit Bulls, Mastiffs, and American Bulldogs. The subject of many shows and articles because of his unconventional, but extremely effective techniques. Obedience training is not part of what we teach here at The Bully Connection, but more of a real life maintenance program that allows for you to keep, and have control over your bully. Structure, consistency, and exercise are the principles of the program.

Once an appointment is set via e-mail, the potential adopter calls the facility, founder, volunteer, coordinator, etc..upon arriving at the facility as not to knock on the door and stir up a barking frenzy with the larger dogs. Your personal and or pre-exsisting pets are welcome to visit to check compatibility, but we must be informed through e-mail so we can set up properly for visiting dogs.
