MAX's Story...
Courtesy Posting for Rockin’ Rescue, Please contact: lois.rockinrescue@gmail.com or his foster mom: Joannewilde1@hotmail.com Hey there folks Max is the name, these kind people at Rockin Rescue busted me out of the shelter on my very last day. I’ve been with my foster family for a few months now. They think I’m great and can’t imagine how I ended up at a shelter, they call me Max-a-Million. My foster family has a 7 year old boy, two labs and 3 cats. I love to play with the other dogs. I’ve figured out the cats don’t want to play and leave them alone. I’m very friendly and love to give hugs and kisses but occasionally I get a little spooked by some men, ones with hats its seems. I just back off and bark because I’m scared I’m house trained and learning the basic commands and I know my name. I’m about 2 years old, maybe younger as I have a lot of energy. My folks think I’m a Lab but we are not sure what else I’m crossed with maybe Great Dane, look at my ears. I’m a medium sized dog but I am slim with short black fur so you won’t have a problem with me shedding. My Mom feeds me lots to try and fatten me up, I’m not complaining but it doesn’t seem to be working. I think I’m supposed to be thin but we won’t tell her I’m all black with a white chest and paws. I would like a home with a yard where I can run around and chase the squirrels. I like to go for rides in the car and to the doggy park. I like walks too although I pull a little at first I soon settle down to your pace. Although I’m pretty busy through the day at night I will snuggle up and sleep as long as everyone else does. If I can get up on the bed even better I do get sad when you leave me, as I’m worried you won’t come back. Maybe a home with another dog would be best for me or where someone is home most the day. I am crate trained and will go in there when you tell me to. My folks say I am very bright and eager to please. Could you give me the forever home I would love so much? I sure hope so. Bye for now Max. Courtesy Posting for Rockin Rescue, Please contact: lois.rockinrescue@gmail.com or his foster mom: Joannewilde1@hotmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

MAX, a Largo Labrador Retriever/Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Great Dane for sale in Largo, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Great Dane dog from a breeder in Largo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Largo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Largo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Great Dane breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Largo paves the way for another one to be saved.
