Posted February 16th: Meet 8 Ball, a 10 week, 17 lb. lab mix puppy. You have to see this beautiful girl to fully appreciate her good looks. Her coat is thick, shiny, and soft. Petting her is addicting and comforting. Can you imagine coming home from a stressful day at work and sinking your fingers into her soft furriness!?!
8 Ball came to us from a high kill shelter where she found himself scared and against the odds of being saved. Lucky for 8 Ball, she wasn't completely alone - she had 4 siblings to play with and snuggle with and wait with.

Lucky for 8 Ball, she had a rescue that happens to LOVE big black pups paying attention. Lucky for 8 Ball, she and her siblings were wisked away from death row and placed into a loving foster home in Sugar Grove, IL. 8 Ball is now seeing what love and real puppy happiness is like. She's got an adult resident dog to show her the ropes and make sure he minds his puppy manners. She's got a 10 yr. old boy ready to love on her and play, play, play as only 10 yr. old boys can do. She's got foster parents showering her with warmth and food all the while letting her know that she is okay.
8 Ball and her siblings are safe and happy, but their journey is not over as they still need to find their furever homes. 8 ball needs a loving home with people looking for a big dog to add to their family. She'd love a fenced in yard to run in, toys and people to play with, and warm people bodies to snuggle with. The foster mom says she will make a wonderful family pet to just about any family lucky enough to see her potentials. 8 Ball is stealth in her play and sure to be entertaining to play with and watch!

The adoption fee of $250.00 includes: her spaying (when old enough, but paid for by us), microchipped, up to date for Distemper-Adenovirus-Parainfluenza-Parvo (he's had 2 vaccinations already), dewormed with panacur, given albon and metronidazole as preventions, treated with Revolution for the prevention fleas and mites and mange . You will also receive a leash and collar, a free office visit to Crest Hill Cat and Dog Clinic, Yorkville Animal Hospital or Wheaton Animal Hospital, a training dvd, and tons of coupons for Petco.
The adoption also comes with a free puppy/doggy class through Flydogs located at Central Bark Doggie Day Care in Oswego, which introduces you to housebreaking, name recognition, crate training, sit/stay and leash walking. This is one free class you really don't want to miss, and 10% off purchase of a 10-day care package for dogs attending Central Bark Doggy Day Care in Oswego.
Please note that we are a foster based rescue and do not have a facility, which means all of our animals are cared for in homes of wonderful people who have volunteered their time to help save them. All breeds and sizes at maturity are best guesses.
