April's Story...
April is approx 6 months old & was rescued from kitty death row at a local shelter. She was dumped at the gate of the shelter while they were closed & was pregnant. Not April's fault she didn't have a responsible, caring owner & yet she almost died because of it. April is now spayed, up to date on shots, worming, etc & fiv/felv negative. Boy does she have a personality!!! She is VERY vocal and very outgoing & LOVES to have lots of attention!!! She doesnt seem to mind the other cats & small dog in her foster home. If you are looking for a sweet kitty, she is perfect! Keep in mind she does talk a lot, so please dont inquire if you are looking for a quiet, laid back kitty. For more info please call 817-991-6801 or 817-991-0931. Adoption donation $110 to cover vet expenses.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

April, a Fort Worth Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Fort Worth, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Fort Worth.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Worth already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Worth breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Worth paves the way for another one to be saved.
