This guy has a funny face and a fun personality. Roscoe is still only a puppy, about 8 months old so he has plenty of playful puppy energy, but he is also showing everyone how smart he is. Roscoe responds well to his name, comes when called and knows the command sit and is learning down. Roscoe loves toys and chases them with enthusiasm and collects them tidily onto his place, but readily shares and swaps them. He likes all treats which are being used as part of his training. As a young pup he can be a bit jumpy and mouthy but he likes to please people and will listen to verbal corrections – he just needs to be taught what is and what isn’t acceptable behavior. Roscoe is affectionate and really enjoys being with his people, playing, petting and learning. Roscoe will be happiest in a home that includes him in the daily routine and activities, he is looking to be engaged not caged. His family will need to be accepting of puppy behavior while consistently and kindly reinforcing the household rules and expectations; like so many smart puppies Roscoe will be as good a pet as his family teaches him to be.
