Hello! My name is Charly. I was rescued in Vancouver with my three sisters as well as my mom and stepbrother. When I was rescued in December 2011, I was only 3 months old. I have been vaccinated, dewormed and neutered with a tough boy tattoo in my right ear. Like my sister Kiara, I am a major attention hog compared to my other two sisters. I am a husky boy as I love to eat but I love to play as well. I always attack all my sisters' tails as well as anything else I can get my paws on. I really want a forever home where I can get tons of love and attention. I enjoy belly rubs and just sitting beside you to get petted. I am also a major purr factory and am fine with being held though I am not much of a lap kitty yet. I am fine with kids that are at least 9 yrs old or older as my foster has a 9 yr old son so I would prefer a home with kids this age or older and I am curious about other cats. I am a good boy with the litterbox and need a scratching post to keep my claws nice and sharp, but I don’t scratch. While in my foster home with my three sisters, I don’t want them getting the attention so I will give my foster a little love nip to say “Hey I’m right here, I want love too!”

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charly, a Vancouver Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
