Hi! My name is T-bone and I am about 6 years old. I came to SEPRA from a shelter in northwest Georgia. And SEPRA saved me just in time! I don’t know what exactly that means but they tell me you might understand it. ANYWAY…WHEW!!!
I wasn’t feeling too well the first couple of months I was out of the shelter. It took the vet a little while to figure out what was going on with me. But now I have all my energy back and I have gained some weight and I am feeling really, really good!
I love to play and run around and go for walks, but I’m just as happy being a couch potato. I love to play with toys and chew on bones. I get along very well with my foster brothers and sisters…and there are a lot of them. Sometimes I play with them but most of the time I just ignore them. We all hang out on the sofa at night to watch TV with my foster mom…and I like to be right on her lap. I sleep on the bed at night with my foster mom and the other dogs and I really like to snuggle. I love to be picked up and held and cuddled. I even like it when my foster mom holds me like a baby in her arms on my back. She makes me feel safe and warm and sometimes I even fall asleep when I am in her arms like that. I am 100% house-broken and not had even one accident in my foster mom’s house! The cold weather really gets to me…I shiver a lot when I’m cold so my foster mom puts a sweater on me when the temps start to drop.
Anyway, my foster mom says I’m the cutest pug-mix EVER! I might have some Boston Terrier or Chihuahua in me. Who knows. My tail is curly and my fur is black with some longer scruffy-looking gray hairs sticking out in random places. And I am pretty narrow as far as pugs go… not very thick in the waistline area. Oh, and my front paws are pigeon-toed…my elbows poke out a little and I almost look double-jointed. But I get around just fine, just like all the other dogs. Oh…and my eyes are usually super-wide open. Think Buckwheat from the Little Rascals! My foster mom laughs out loud at me sometimes because I often look kind of goofy.
I would be ok with other dogs in the family but I’d also be ok as an only dog. My foster mom doesn’t know if I know what “cats” or “little kids” are yet but she is trying to get me set up to meet some to see how I do with them.
I have had a lot of vet visits since I came to SEPRA, so if you could be my virtual foster…well, that would be great! But if you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application and be sure to put “T-bone” on it!
