Vanessa's Story...

Meet Vanessa!

Vanessa is a beautiful Checkered Giant mix that is looking for her own home! She's under a year old and very, very sweet. Doesn't mind being held and a super easy keeper. Litter box trained but does have some urine scolding on her tail from living in the filth of her last home. Rabbits are very clean animals but do require more attention than a hamster. They cannot stay locked up in a cage with no play time. Vanessa is a strictly INDOOR rabbit.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Vanessa, a Martinez Checkered Giant was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Checkered Giant for sale in Martinez, or seeking a Checkered Giant from a breeder in Martinez.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Martinez already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Martinez breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Checkered Giant breeders who help with Checkered Giant rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Martinez paves the way for another one to be saved.
