Shelby's Story...
Shelby is a rescue favorite! She's about 6-7 months old and we think she is a Beagle Basset mix. She is a darling little girl. She has such a sweet and innocent disposition about her. It's hard not to fall in love with her right away. She will make a WONDERFUL companion. Her foster mom says that she is great with the kids, well-behaved and doesn't bark a lot. She likes to play but is also very content to cuddle up with her humans.

Her adoption fee is $250 and includes her spay, all age appropriate shots, de-worming, vet check and grooming. If you would like to meet Shelby, please email for an application. References are required.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shelby, a Westfield Beagle/Basset Hound puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Basset Hound for sale in Westfield, or seeking a Beagle/Basset Hound puppy from a breeder in Westfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Westfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Westfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Basset Hound breeders who help with Beagle/Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Westfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
