Ringo's Story...
My name is Ringo and I am an 8 week old beauty.  My dad was a Golden Retriever and my mom was a German Shepherd and Chocolate Lab mix.  That sure made  some adorable babies huh?   I came here with my brothers and sisters to find good, loving homes.  We were all going to head out to Hollywood and make movies because we know we got the looks for it, but we decided to stay here and find families to raise us to be the best dogs we can be. Since we gave up our Hollywood dreams we are expecting a true and sincere commitment from our new families for the rest of our lives.  Don't make us wait too long ok? Adoption fee is $250 and includes; current shots, reduced cost spay/neuter and $25 rebate, 1 month pet health insurance, free vet exam, 5 week training class, leash/collar, toy and treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ringo, a Portland German Shepherd Dog/Golden Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Golden Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Golden Retriever puppy from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Golden Retriever breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
