Shia's Story...
Shia is a smart, mellow, one-year-old, blond sable, female with lots of love to give; dog friendly from puppy/small to adult and workable with cats. Currently Shia lives with 2 GSD brothers and cat(that thinks his a dog).
Shia loves to go on walks and would be a great jogging partner. On leash Shia is curious and is learning not to move from side to side. Short of that Shia walks with you and doesn't pull. Her foster grandma took her for a walk and said " she's a dream to walk".
Shia's gentle nature makes her a great family pet however she does need basic obedience. She is still young and will need boundaries. Although her counter surfing for food has been easily corrected. She now, sleeps thru the night in the crate where she is being fostered and is continuing to get better every day.
Shia is a Level 2 dog, being fostered in Fresno.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shia, a Fresno German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Fresno, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Fresno.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fresno already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fresno breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fresno paves the way for another one to be saved.
