Buddy's Story...
Buddy is an awesome boy who would love to find his forever home! He was an owner surrender for reasons we can't possibly begin to imagine. He is a very loyal and loving boy although a bit shy at first. It only takes him a minute to warm up once he meets you. Buddy is believed to be between 6-7 years old which makes him an ideal companion. He's already past the puppy chewing stage, is settled, housetrained and aims to please. He's happiest when relaxing - or exercising - with his human. He's fine with other dogs and is quite disinterested in them. Cats are a curiosity, and he does want to chase, but it's more of a "play drive" than "prey drive". Buddy has been given a clean bill of health from our veterinarian. He's had all his shots, is neutered and microchipped and is eager to begin a new life with someone who appreciates his beauty and genuine personality. He's an all-around great guy and will make an awesome pet. Contact us for an adoption application. info@catniptrails.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buddy, a Dundee Flat-Coated Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Flat-Coated Retriever for sale in Dundee, or seeking a Flat-Coated Retriever dog from a breeder in Dundee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dundee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dundee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Flat-Coated Retriever breeders who help with Flat-Coated Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dundee paves the way for another one to be saved.
