Miku's Story...
Miku is a young man of just 2 years! He has a beautiful sable coat and as he relaxes he loves to have belly rubs. Miku is shy and needs a soft voice and a gentle hand to guide him to be the best boy he can be. Sometimes the shelter life is too much for him. He loves to go to a quiet, peaceful place, outside of the shelter, close his eyes and just rest. Even though Miku came from places unknown and currently has limited social skills, he is quick to learn what is asked of him. He is working on his basic commands and if he is walking too fast for his person, with a little reminder, he will come around to your left side and walk along right by you side. Miku loves to play ball with small rubber balls! He brings the ball back and drops it for his person. He loves his kongs filled with goodies and to chew on hard bones. Miku is so smart, he does need a job to perform for you. He is ok with dogs, although he doesn't know exactly what to do with other dogs. He does not react to cats.

Miku is a lovely young boy, with a huge heart. He is looking for his forever family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Miku, a Berkeley German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
