Scooter's Story...
Howdy beagle fans, the name's Scooter and I'm a very lively 9 year-old beagle fellow! I came in with my beagle buddy, Hooter, but I want to have my own place now, meeting some new canine friends. I am good with other dogs but will give a warning growl if another four-legged friend gets too close to my sleeping space. I've recently been able to show off some of my awesome agility skills, so if that's something you'd like to work more with me on...we'd be a perfect match! You see, I really enjoy running through tunnels, climbing up ladders, and running down slides...and even more so if I am rewarded with a treat or just a good belly rub. I just don't play as well with other dogs. Or maybe you have some tennis balls that need to be tracked down? I bet your arm will wear out before I do! My friends at AZBR think some good dog agility training may be a great outlet for some of my energy! My foster mom also says I am extremely affectionate and love to be loved! I would willingly accept petting for hours on end, and I am obedient as well - I'll come when you call me. Please come meet me and see if I can be part of your family. Arrroooooo!!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scooter, a Phoenix Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
