My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sofie is approximately a 1 and a 1/2 year old Lab, Chow, Pointer/Spaniel mix. She is a pretty sweet faced little girl weighing in at just over 40lbs. She is a very laid back girl and goes with the flow. She enjoys spending time wrestling with her foster siblings and chasing them around playing "tag", she enjoys car rides, going for walks and being with her people. Sofie is crate trained and house broken, knows a few basic commands such as "sit", "down", "come", "go potty", "wait", "kennel", and "OK". Sofie is crated during the day while her I am (foster mom) at work and sleeps in the bedroom at night and does a great job. Sofie is friendly with men, woman, and older children (10+), younger children make her nervous, as she seems to like a quiet home that matches her laid back personality. She is good with other dogs but may play to rough with small dogs, she has met her foster ferret siblings and thinks they are big moving squeaky toys but never hurt them. Cats may not be a good match for her in her new home due to the bit of prey drive she has displayed, this maybe something her new family can work with for both cats and small dogs so they can live happily together. Sofie will need her new family to continue working with her "basic obedience" and continue socializing her with people, dogs, and explore new environments so she will become a more confident, happy, individual dog. Sofie is very willing to please but can be a little stubborn and would do well with advanced obedience classes and agility as she has jumped the baby gate : ) With obedience or agility this will help increase a life time bond with her new family and keep Sofie on her toes and busy. Sofie is sweet like a lab, laid back and protective like a chow and has a nose and prey drive like a pointer/spaniel! If you think your the one for this sweet girl full of many characteristics come meet her today!
