Jitterbug's Story...
2/22/12: Jitterbug just came into care last eve. She is submissive and as sweet as can be. Fluffy and medium-haired, we think maybe she may be a mix of Corgi & Sheltie and perhaps other breeds too! She weighs only 13 lbs at approx 5 mos of age. Jitterbug has a short tail, not sure if it was docked or natural. She was so shy yesterday but is already warming up well in foster care and we will post more as we learn more about Jitterbug. Please check back.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jitterbug, a Franklin Corgi/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Corgi/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in Franklin, or seeking a Corgi/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog puppy from a breeder in Franklin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Franklin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Franklin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Corgi/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with Corgi/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Franklin paves the way for another one to be saved.
