Janis Joplin's Story...
Janis Joplin got her name for her raspy meow, she meows in gratefulness to the kind person who took her in after she was found very underweight and shivering. She has been nursed back to health and has gained weight. Currently shes living in a cage as there are dogs and alot of other cats in the household, so its quite overwhelming for her, She would like a quieter environment. Janis has tortoise coloring with white chest and paws. She is about 8 yrs old.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Janis Joplin, a Los Angeles American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
