Wendi's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Wendi's Story...
Wendi is the sweetest little lap dog. She and her four puppies were running the streets. She was very happy to be rescued. She is 10#, healthy, heartworm negative, and microchipped. She is kennel and house trained and her foster Mom says she is a delight. Wendi looks mostly like a terrier, wire hair and Chihuahua mix. Some of her puppies are up for adoption, Allie, Emma & Bailey.
If you are interested in meeting Wendi please go to our website and complete an application, www.wimberleywagrescue.org. Applications are considered in the order in which they are received.
We do not have a facility so our dogs are in foster homes. Once we have your application we will set up a convenient time for you to meet the dog. Our dogs are meant to be companion animals and are NOT to be outside only dogs. We DO NOT condone chaining. Most of our dogs require a fenced yard. Thank you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wendi, a Wimberley Wirehaired Fox Terrier/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Wirehaired Fox Terrier/Chihuahua for sale in Wimberley, or seeking a Wirehaired Fox Terrier/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Wimberley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wimberley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wimberley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Wirehaired Fox Terrier/Chihuahua breeders who help with Wirehaired Fox Terrier/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wimberley paves the way for another one to be saved.
