Paige's Story...
Paige is about the most affectionate little dog (under 10 lbs.) you could imagine. She looks to be about 4-5 years old, with a fawn & white long-hair coat, very quiet- never heard her bark even once, just wants to sit on your lap and kiss you all day. She needs someone who can shower her with love and attention. She would thrive in a quieter type of home without a lot of noise and confusion. She's not fussy, she just wants a gentle person who can give her the time she deserves. No young children or big dogs, please- she's intimidated by both. Cats are fine. If interested, please fill out an application at our site: This dog is spayed and up to date on vaccines.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Paige, a Newport Pekingese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pekingese for sale in Newport, or seeking a Pekingese dog from a breeder in Newport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pekingese breeders who help with Pekingese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newport paves the way for another one to be saved.
