Kelsea -- Adoption Fee Sponsored's Story...
Kelsea was a stray before coming to the shelter. Shes a playful yet devoted girl who loves people and really tries to impress. Kelsea will sit before you open the door to go outside if you ask her to, and will come to you when you whistle. She loves to run in the play yard and come charging at you only to roll-over and beg for belly rubs. Kelsea has been at the shelter for over a year and going on 2, but with her disposition and her eager to please attitude, we think she would do wonderful in a home with patience and repetition. She does not tolerate sharing her people with other dogs, and thinks she is a bowling ball and knocks them over to get them away. Her favorite past time is laying by your feet and chewing a stick, or just taking a lovely walk through the woods. It doesn&pos;t take much to please Kelsea and she will give back 10 times more than what you would expect from a shelter dog.Kelsea gets overlooked quite often because she is your average brown shelter mix dog, but she is super sweet and is a pretty cool kid who would love a great family to settle in with. She does great outside the kennel/shelter and loves to go for rides to Dairy Queen for snacks, but potential adopters just pass her by because she circles in her kennel. If they would only spend some time with her, they'd know how sweet she is.Kelsea needs an experienced dog owner to keep her balanced. She tends to take advantage of the milder volunteers, but stays in check with an experienced handler and becomes calm after a few minutes. She is just waiting for someone to see how special she is.
