Little Zip sat patiently in the Downey Animal Shelter waiting for someone to adopt him. Day after day he sat with his time quickly running out. Thank goodness one of our wonderful volunteers had her eye on Zip and was able to whisk him off to safety before it was too late.

Zip is a 2 year old, 10 pound, mix of Pomeranian and possibly Papillon and we think he looks just like a tiny version of a Mini-Aussie. Although Zip might be a little guy, he has a big personality. He is very playful with other dogs about his size, is very loving with his human pack members and does the cutest little dance when he gets excited. Zip’s ideal family would be an active one that likes to include their four legged family members in their activities and adventures.

Our adoption fee for Zip is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip, vaccines, treatment for fleas and worms and best of all, lots of love and socialization in his foster home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zip, a Irvine Pomeranian/Papillon dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pomeranian/Papillon for sale in Irvine, or seeking a Pomeranian/Papillon dog from a breeder in Irvine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Irvine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Irvine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pomeranian/Papillon breeders who help with Pomeranian/Papillon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Irvine paves the way for another one to be saved.
