Garfield's Story...
Garfield is a great little fellow, a Chihuahua mix, who is about 5 years old and has an easy going disposition. He really enjoys going for a walk and can strut his stuff with the best of them. He also enjoys people and is a pleaser, knows how to ask for and get a belly rub and has eyes that will just make your heart melt. He's also aware that a lap is made for a dog his size and seems very much at home curled up there. Garfield is nicely behaved in kennel and appears to be house broken. Garfield knows some commands, plays ball and is generous with his kisses. He should do well in almost any home where he can be part of the action and the family. We encourage you to stop in, bring the whole family, to meet this fellow soon.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Garfield, a Meridian Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
