Facts about Betty

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Black & White Or Tuxedo
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: A092369
  • Hair: Short
Betty is a little shy at first but give her a chance and she'll becomes very friendly once she gets to know you.
She isn't a great fan of being picked up and held as she has things to do! She has been with another cat before and there was a little initial hissing but then things settled quite well.

Betty loves to flop near her foster wherever he may be. If he's in his recliner, she ends up on it with him by his side. She likes to help when her foster dad works by stretching out all over his papers on the living room table. She loves head rubs and will grab at your hand with her paws and/or mouth if you pull away before she wants you too. Belly rubbing is ok but she will lightly nip if it goes on longer than she wants. So she is a smart cat who lets you know when enough is enough! She does the ol' rub up on the legs when you are standing near her... She is quite playful with her toys, tossing them around and chasing after them. She is also quite the acrobat, balancing on the edge of chairs, batting at her tail while she hangs off the edge- again, too cute.

Betty was born around 2/26/10.

About Anjellicle Cats Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Anjellicle Cats Rescue is a no-kill, all-volunteer,
not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. We are a member
of the Mayor's Alliance and a New Hope Partner with
the New York Animal Care & Control (ACC). For over ten years, this Hell's Kitchen shelter has been a lifeline
for abandoned, stray, and neglected cats and kittens.
In addition, we work closely with the ACC to pull out
those who are in danger of being euthanized due to
overcrowding. Each one is welcomed with kindness and medical attention, with the goal of placement into a permanent, loving home.

Well-known within the Broadway community, we have been featured on Fox 5 Morning Show, New York 1 Television and in Time Out magazine. We always enjoy meeting new volunteers and people who share our mission -- to compassionately rescue, care for and place New York City's homeless cats and kittens.

Come in today to see our "cat room" and maybe you'll
find a new friend -- one of our truly "Anjellicle

Come Meet Our Pets...

If you've found the cat of your dreams and wish to begin the adoption process, you only need to call or email Anjellicle Cats Rescue and arrange to meet a representative at Spoiled Brats, 340 W. 49th St.. Adoptions are done by appointment although there is usually someone on site every evening from 6 - 8pm.

Our Adoption Process...

Once you've filled out an application, someone will go through an adoption package with you with updated information on cat care. We require a donation of $125 for one cat or $225 for two. The kitten or cat will then be personally delivered to their new home.

All cats have been tested for the Feline Leukemia and FIV virus, vaccinated with FVRCP (3 in 1) and spayed or neutered. We believe it is much kinder to adopt kittens with another kitten or cat unless there is already a cat in their new household.
