About two weeks ago, I spotted Julian while walking my dogs and told him to just keep walking till he got to my porch, and if he was hungry, that there would be food there. Later that same day, I was astonished to find Julian standing on my front porch in front of the empty food dish, glaring at me indignantly. So I quickly filled the food dish and he has been eating from it every night since then.
Sadly, FIV is rampant on my street and I have never seen a cat with so many scars on his face as Julian. Some of them are even open and oozing. So this poor baby almost certainly has FIV and possibly leukemia as well with those open wounds. He looks absolutely pitiful and miserable. He moves slowly as if his body hurts him. But he wants help. He keeps looking at me as if he is begging for help.
Julian has received enough donations to cover his initial vet work! We are in the process of trying to catch him now and are hoping to have that done in time for his appointment this Friday, March 9th. Will post his medical results then!
