Sissy's Story...
Hi, my name is Sissy. I am about 4 years old. I've been living at the shelter for a couple years. I've been watching my friends get adopted and wondering why not me? I am friendly, affectionate and litter box trained. I'm not real fond of other cats....I am ok with them but I'd prefer a home where either I am the only kitty or just one of a couple kitties. Don't get me wrong - I don't' start fights or anything - just not real interested in having a cat as a companion. I long to spend my life with a loving human. One fun little thing I like to do is drink water from the faucet - that is fun. Did I mention that I am artistic as well? A couple years ago I painted a beautiful piece of art for one of our fundraisers - so as you see I am not only loving but talented. Hope to meet you soon!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sissy, a Palm City Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Palm City, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Palm City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Palm City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Palm City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Palm City paves the way for another one to be saved.
