Venus-Adopted!'s Story...
Venus is part of a litter of six born to Willow in 2012. She is a sweet, loving girl who loves life. Venus loves other dogs and would probably be happiest in a home with another dog to play with. She's very curious about cats and will chase them on occasion. Due to her energy level, Venus would do best in a home without small children, and would love someone who enjoys long walks or spending a time out in the backyard. Venus can be very shy in loud, busy environments, so she is often overlooked at our adoption events. She would benefit from someone who would take her to new places and help her feel more comfortable in new environments. Unfortunately, Venus was hit by a car in March of 2013. She suffered spinal injuries and road rash, but fortunately, she has recovered well and is back to being a healthy girl who is able to run and play. Venus weighs about 40 lbs. Birthdate 1/9/12

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Venus-Adopted!, a Detroit Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Detroit, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Detroit.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Detroit already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Detroit breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Detroit paves the way for another one to be saved.
