February 25th, 2012- Our good friends at No More Tears and Anarchy Animal Rescues freed 50 dogs from Amish puppy mills this weekend! We took in 14 of these special little dogs and are looking forward to finding them the loving homes they deserve after the horrible lives they have had. Puppy mill rescues are generally a little shy but sweet-natured, and thrive in calmer adult households with other friendly dogs to help them feel more comfortable. Please submit an application if you are interested. They will be spayed and fully vetted prior to adoption.
These puppy mill rescues put a huge strain on our budget- most of these dogs have been severely neglected and need dental care, treatment for ear infections and/or skin infections, and sometimes further treatment for tumors, hernia, or other more serious ailments. Even if you can't adopt or foster, please continue donating so we can continue to rehabilitate these especially needy dogs.
We do not have a shelter- all our pets are in foster homes and can be seen by appointment only during the week, or at our weekly pet adoptions every Sunday at the Animal Clinic of Morris Plains from 12:30 to 3PM at 3009 Route 10 East next to 5 Star Car Wash (formerly Boulder Car Wash) in Morris Plains (Denville on GPS). To help us better match a pet to your household, we request you fill out an application on our homepage www.secondchance.petfinder.com and copy and paste it into an email, or print it and bring it to our adoption day when you come. Local inquiries only please- we do not do long distance adoptions.
Can't adopt but still want to help this dog? Click on the "Sponsor Me" button at the top of this page to donate toward his/her care! All donations are tax-deductible and go directly toward the care of our rescue dogs. Thank you for your support!
