Radar's Story...
My name is Radar and I am 2 years old. I have some issues with size distortion. I think I am a small lap dog while my foster parents say I am a big boy. I get along well with other dogs and kids. I have some “puppy” in me and love to play—is there really a difference between baby toys and dog toys? I don’t see it. I just love toys. I like to wrestle and run on wood floors. I am always hopeful for people food but my foster mom is being strict so I can lose a few pounds. I don’t think she’s caught on that I sneak extra calories by licking the baby’s face or sitting under his highchair—please don’t ruin it for me. I am very loving and can’t wait to find my forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Radar, a Phoenix Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
