My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

From Barney's foster mom: Barney's best friend and master died about a year ago, and Barney has since been left to spend long hours alone, feeling lonely. He used to do everything with his master including ride along in the truck, in the boat, and on the snowmobile. Barney would even lie by his master's side to comfort him when he was sick. Barney is desperate to find love and affection with a new master.

He is great with all ages of kids, as well as with other dogs. Cats and rabbits, though, are his arch-nemeses. Barney enjoys car rides when he is sitting right next to you. He is submissive, and he would be fine either as an only dog or in a house with one other dog. He does prefer to play with people rather than other dogs. He is enjoying getting love and attention from his foster parents while he waits for his Forever Family to adopt him.

Barney is a very sweet, cuddly, cute boy. He knows basic commands, listens well, and is very affectionate. Barney is housetrained and likes to sleep on the floor right next to your bed. Barney loves treats, belly rubs, scratches behind the ears, and to sit next to you! He also loves to investigate outside. He is neutered and vaccinated. Right now he is a little overweight, so he is on a portion-controlled diet. He would be best placed in a home that has space for him to run. If such space is not available, he needs to be taken on vigorous daily walks. Most importantly, he needs family members who will give him lots of affection and love.

Barney is a very playful, loyal, and happy dog that will make some lucky person or family very happy as well. We just love him!
