Sweet Allan's Story...
Allan is a beautiful tabby boy who thrives on human contact and really wants his forever home. As soon as you walk in the door he will come to greet you, and he'll hang out around you until you settle down. Once you do, he will nuzzle up right next to you, hoping for a deep neck rub. Allan was so depressed when he was abandoned by his family at Animal Care and Control he wouldn't eat. I had to force feed him for weeks before he would eat. He was just that sad. He gets more confident all the time. He is with a foster who is great with him, but he needs his own permanent home where someone will love him forever and he will never be abandoned again. Finally, he feels safe enough to play and loves to throw around his furry mouse and crinkly ball. Some of his other favorite activities include looking out the window, and rolling around on the floor on his back. Here is a video of him being pet http://youtu.be/-g0hsgo_5FU

Allan was pulled from Animal Care and Control and was so sad there he wouldn't eat. He reminded me so much of another angel we rescued from there that we had to help him. That angel got a wonderful home and we would love to find Allan a great home too. He was an owner surrender and he just has no idea why his owner would have left him behind. His depression has finally lifted as he has now been cared for by us for some time. But he really does want a forever home. He just wants to love you and be loved. Allan is a very sweet kitty all ready to go and he wants a second chance. Won't you give it to him?

He is microchipped, tested neg for fiv/leuk, up-to-date on his shots and ready to go home with you and be your BFF forever.

If you would like to meet this sweet kitty, please email catskittensnyc@gmail.com or call Claire 718-455-5711 eves/weekends.

Thank you for thinking of a rescued kitty! Tax-deductible donation will go toward helping the next angel in need.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sweet Allan, a Brooklyn Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
