Duchess's Story...
Duchess is an exuberant young dog who is full of love and affection that she so earnestly wants to bestow upon a deserving forever-person or family. She is well-trained, housebroken, and does well with other dogs. Duchess is young and energetic, so a home where she will gets lots of opportunities to run and play would be ideal. She gets very attached to her person, making you feel like the most special person in the world (and you will be, to her!). A home where there is someone around most of the day, or where she can accompany her person to work would be ideal for this dear girl.

Act quickly to adopt Duchess. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duchess, a Berkeley American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
