Diva's Story...
Diva is a 3 year old very long-haired calico girl. She was adopted as a kitten by a family but really not allowed to be a real family member. Then they moved to a place that didn't allow cats. They brought her along, but didn't let her in the new house, so it's hardly surprising that she wandered off - confused. She eventually got found by a nice couple who took her in.

After some time outdoors, she was heavily matted with plant material stuck in her long fur and covered with fleas - so some of her underside had to be shaved to clean her up again. But now she is clean, free of fleas, and indoors again. The couple loves her, but can't keep another cat - so are hoping that she can find a more appropriate family this time. She is very sweet, loves attention, seems ok with other cats as long as they respect her space. She is FeLV/FIV neg and current on her FRCP and rabies vaccines - and has already been spayed.
She is looking for an indoor only home - where she will remain safe and not collect half of the outdoors in her coat.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Diva, a Santa Rosa Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Santa Rosa, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Santa Rosa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santa Rosa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santa Rosa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santa Rosa paves the way for another one to be saved.
