My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

NOTE: This is a courtesy posting for another rescuer. Please do not contact ARRF, as we do not know this dog personally. Be sure to contact the foster or organization directly from the information listed below.

Dallas is a 5-year old neutered, tan with white Shepherd blend, who weighs about 62 lbs. He is a great family dog who found himself at the shelter when his owners could no longer care for him. He's very smart and knows "sit", "down", and "shake" and walks very well on a leash without excessive pulling. He is an active dog and similarly needs an active home where he can get lots of exercise and attention. He would be a great walking or jogging partner or would love a big yard to play in.

Dallas likes other dogs, but he has a forward and rough style of play, so he'd need playmates who are similarly inclined. He is very treat motivated and should do great in a basic obedience class where he would likely catch on quickly and learn new things.

Dallas was housetrained at his old home, so it wouldn't take much training to refresh his memory when he gets to a new, forever home. If you are looking for a good sized, active dog who is friendly with everyone, then come down and meet Dallas!
