My name is Gilbert! I am a 1 year old, Male, Yorkie/Terrier mix. I was found as a stray and taken to the OC Shelter. My family never picked me up and I was set to be euthanized. Thankfully, the Pet Rescue Center scooped me up and gave me a second chance to find a new family. I am a big people pleaser and very treat motivated. I would be very easy to train. I like other dogs and kids and would do well in almost any family. I would love to be your forever friend! Come meet me and see if I am your boy!
Pets are visited by appointment (times are flexible). Please email Casey Oliver at info@thepetrescuecenter.org to arrange a meeting time. This process allows potential adopters to spend adequate time with their prospective pet and prevents long wait times.
All interested parties must fill out an Adoption Application, which will be reviewed to find the best possible match. Our adoption fee is $300 for dogs and $150 for cats, and includes spay/neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming, regular veterinary check-ups, and current vaccinations. This fee helps to defray the costs of medical care, supplies and boarding while the animals are in our care.
The Pet Rescue Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization that seeks to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome pets from high kill shelters and is temporarily housed inside the Alicia Pet Care Center at 25800 Jeronimo Rd. Suite 100, Mission Viejo, CA 92691.
