Amy's Story...
INITIAL BIO 02/23/2012: Hi, my name is Amy! I am 6 years old and weigh just 7 lbs. I am being fostered in Key West, FL. My momma had to give me up so that I could find a home where someone is around more often than she is. I've been in my foster home now for a few days. I can tell you this about me so far:

Well, first of all, I'm in heat....... so I cannot be spayed for a little bit. When I am, I'm going to get my toofers cleaned too. I like being close to you or snuggled up in a blanket. I love going for walks, and I like to do my business outside. I've marked a few times in the house, but we're not sure if it's nerves or the heat making me mark. :) If you want a little cuddle big lapdog, I'm your girlie! Thanks for reading about me and stay tuned for updates!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Amy, a Key West Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Key West, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Key West.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Key West already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Key West breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Key West paves the way for another one to be saved.
