I am already spayed, housetrained, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
This little love was brought into a vet office and LEFT there! She had been hit by a car and has nerve damage in her right front leg. It may take 6 months for the radial nerve to heal. If it doesn't heal, the leg will need to be amputated. This wouldn't be a problem for a happy-go-lucky dog like Peaches, and she is ready for a forever home with or without the leg!
She stole the hearts of everyone at the Vet's office, and impresses all she meets with her happiness. She is currently sharing a home with another dog, a cat, and a puppy and gets along great with them. She is house trained, crate-trained, and does great in the car.
She will be spayed, up-to-date on shots, microchipped and dewormed. An adoption fee of $185 will help offset the cost of care, but we're also looking for a sponsor in case she needs surgery in July 2012. Please go to www.mikeyschance.com for more information.
If you're interested in Peaches, but concerned about the quality of life of a three-legged dog, don't be! Several members of Mikey's Chance have three-legged dogs of their own, and they can tell you that dogs are born with a spare leg. See this website for more information: http://tripawds.com/
