My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ANOTHER WONDERFUL DOG SAVED FROM EUTHANASIA AND NOW AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AT PDR: I pulled EVE out of the back of the Animal Control truck when she was taken to a vet's office to be euthanized this past Friday (2/24/12): I gave EVE her name because Eve represents the mother of all living creatures. EVE'S STORY: This extremely loving girl, who is less than 1 year old, gave birth to a litter of pups this winter in a field....all of her babies froze to death but she refused to stop "nursing" them or leave them for weeks to eat, drink water, or protect herself from the cold, which left her very malnourished, with frost bite on her ears and eyes, and with a uteran infection related to the birth during freezing temps. After being spayed and spending 3 warm nights inside, eating plenty of food, water and receiving loves, hugs and kisses, she is one of the sweetest, most affectionate and trusting dogs I've ever met. A dog who desperately wants to be loved and protected. Considering how she's lived and what she's been through, Eve is not food aggressive in any way and I can put my hand in her bowl while she's eating without any reaction from her (yippee!!). EVE is a Red Nose Pit Bull and will need another week to recuperate from her major surgery, but is current on shots and will be available for adoption the 2nd week of March. Meanwhile, I will begin leash training her and socializing her with our other dogs at PDR.
