Luna's Story...
Hi, my name is Luna. I am a 3 year old, spayed female. I came to the Victoria Pet Adoption Society, in early 2007 when my owner moved and could not keep me. I was adopted by a nice family, and although they tried very hard to integrate me into their home, the other kitty in the home was mean to me so the family brought me back to VPAS so that I can find a new home. I am quite afectionate and I like to have my head and ears rubbed. I am a little shy at first but I quickly warm up to anyone who is willing to give me some attention. For more information about me please contact VPAS at vpas@wormers.com or come to visit with me at PetSmart in Langford (Millstream Road.)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Luna, a Saanichton Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Saanichton, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Saanichton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Saanichton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Saanichton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Saanichton paves the way for another one to be saved.
