Logan's Story...
This lovely black shiny boy is Logan. He is about 4 months old and 30 lbs. We think he is a Schipperke mix because of his bobbed tail. It's more like he has no tail. He is very smart and a quicky learner. He gets along great with the other dogs from pups to adults. He has an interesting look to his face. He also has white on his chest and paws. If you are interested in adopting, please go to www.whiteriveranimalrescue.org and fill out an application. NOTE: YOU MUST HAVE A FULLY APPROVED APPLICATION WITH US IN ORDER TO VISIT OUR DOGS. WRAR will only adopt a puppy (under 6 months of age) to adopters that are either home ALL day long or can bring the puppy to work. There are NO exceptions to this. WRAR only adopts to adults over the age of 25.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Logan, a New Boston Schipperke puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schipperke for sale in New Boston, or seeking a Schipperke puppy from a breeder in New Boston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Boston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Boston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schipperke breeders who help with Schipperke rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Boston paves the way for another one to be saved.
