My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Beans is a darling little girl with lovely soft fur. She came from a hoarding situation and is still a little timid but is just the biggest cuddle bug. She is friendly with everyone and learning not to be afraid of new things. She is great with other pets as well. She is a tiny thing weighing just over 12 lbs and is a young girl approximately one year old.

Here is what Beans foster family had to say:

Beans is an extremely gentle and quiet dog. She loves to be around people and other dogs. She is very calm and will allow our 2 girls to dress her up and carry her around everywhere. She does not jump on furniture and is very comfortable on her dog bed or sleeping in her crate. She is a little intimidated by large dogs and will put her tail between her legs when they first come up to her.

We crate Beans when we go out and at night and she is fine with it. She never cries or causes any fuss. Beans loves being outside, playing with toys, chewing rawhides, and cuddling. She is very quiet in the home - we have yet to hear her bark! She refuses to leave the backyard and when we try to walk her so just lies down. I think with more socialization and getting her used to all the strange sights and sounds she is getting better every day. She will be an amazing all around wonderful little companion once someone spends a bit of time and patience with her.

Beans is an adorable dog who is very loving. We do not know anything about her, but is was ovious that she never had any training. Beans is not housebroken and did not know any basic commands. Now she knows the words "outside" to go out and "inside" to come back in and "sit". She needs somone who will spend the time to train her in the house and also to make her comfortable on walks. Beans will not leave our backyard on her own. If we try to walk her she freezes and lies down. We have tried to carry her down the street a bit and then walk her but she does the same thing. She is fine in the backyard on her own or on a leash.

Beans is the quietest dog we have ever had and has not barked yet. She does not whine when we put in the crate. She loves her toys and her dog bed and her favorite thing to do is to run around outside or play with another small dog. She will happily play fetch and tug of war with her toys. When she met a large dog, she was curious but her tail was between her legs the whole time. Beans has no aggression at all and would make a great pet for any family, but would benefit from a second dog to keep her company as she is very fond of other dogs.
