Gizmo's Story...
Birthdate: 8/24/10

Gender: Male, neutered

Breed: Papillon/Pomeranian mix

Weighing in at a whopping 7 pounds of pure fluff, Gizmo might not look like much, but he’s secretly the King of Tug-O-War! And he’s more than happy to demonstrate how he got that title. He loves to play and quickly introduced his foster mom to the game, bringing her toy after toy. He’s so thrilled to have someone to play and snuggle with.

He’s an energetic little fellow, but when it’s snuggle time, it’s snuggle time. He loves to cuddle in bed and get all the petting he can. But what else would you expect from a cute little fellow like this? He’s simply adorable.

Gizmo is fully housebroken, but tiny dogs do have tiny bladders, so he does need to go out often. And Gizmo doesn’t consider that a hardship at all. The moment he sees the leash, he knows what that means.. Outside Playtime! If there’s a chance for a walk or just a romp in the yard, he is so there.

Interested in meeting this little fluffball? Gizmo is hanging out in foster care while he waits for a new home, but he would love to meet you. Give us a call at 330–397–8270 to schedule an appt to meet him at the shelter. He has already been neutered, heartworm tested (negative), fully vaccinated, dewormed and flea treated, so he’s ready to join his new family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gizmo, a Struthers Papillon/Pomeranian dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Papillon/Pomeranian for sale in Struthers, or seeking a Papillon/Pomeranian dog from a breeder in Struthers.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Struthers already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Struthers breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Papillon/Pomeranian breeders who help with Papillon/Pomeranian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Struthers paves the way for another one to be saved.
