I am already neutered and up to date with shots.
Meet Clay, a purebred Cocker Spaniel, and one of our spectacular seniors! This good-looking guy arrived at our shelter via Chicago Animal Control. He weighs 15-lbs. His age, well, we aren't too sure. He was listed as 14 when he arrived, but our vet has lowered that number to 12-years-old. Don't we all wish our doctor would do that on our next exam? He has been given a clean bill of health and is ready to go to his forever home. We don't play favorites here at A.D.O.P.T, but our staff and volunteers do have a favorite Cocker...Clay. He's a calm, mannerly pooch with a sweeter-than-sweet personality and a tail that continually wags. Clay gets along with cats, dogs his size and energy level and would be great with older, dog-respectable kids. What more could you ask? Older dogs are awesome. They don't chew your shoes, they let you sleep in and allow you to finish that cup of coffee before heading out for a walk. If you're looking for a devoted, loving companion, stop the search, Clay might be your man. And, if your family is the lucky one who gets to adopt Clay, we promise our staff won't ask for visitation rights. Come meet Clay.
