Acorn's Boys's Story...
Acorn and her pups were rescued from the shelter just after she gave birth! She is a beautiful husky girl...and is super sweet. Based on the looks and coloring of the pups, we are guessing that a lab or lab mix might be the papa dog. Acorn has 7 pups...4 males and 3 females. The pups will be ready to go to their new homes in late March, but we will be allowing meetings soon to approved homes. Their adoption fee is $250 and includes their puppy combo vaccines thru 16 weeks of age, Bordetella and rabies vaccines, spay/neuter and microchip! Acorn is also looking for a wonderful home!
Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group.
Adoption fees range from $150-$250 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTER CARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us.
We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Acorn's Boys, a Sacramento Labrador Retriever/Husky puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Husky for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Husky puppy from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Husky breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
